They are a dedicated group of five (5) that meet every 3rd Tuesday from April through September, and every 2nd & 3rd Tuesday from October through March. Overview South Wall Fire Rescue is a combination fire department with around 5 career members and 35 volunteers with career members on duty 6:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday-Friday. The Brick Township Exempt Firemen's Association consists of members from all four Township fire companies. South Wall Fire Rescue serves Wall Township Fire District 3. The Brick Township Fire Training Academy provides state-of-the-art training facilities for the firefighters of Brick Township, as well as those from surrounding communities. The Department maintains its own Bureau of Fire Safety, which carries out residential and commercial inspections, provides fire sub-code inspections on behalf of the Township, and is responsible for all Fire Prevention and Fire Education initiatives within the Township. The goal of the Fire Department is to provide the highest quality Fire Protection, Fire Safety, and Rescue services to the Township of Brick. Our highly trained volunteers donate their time and themselves to the residents and visitors of Brick Township. This board is made up of 2 commissioners from each of the 3 fire districts within the township. Brick Township is located in Ocean County, on the Jersey Shore, and encompasses 26.4 square miles, with over 70,000 residents calling it home. The Joint Board of Fire Commissioners governs the Wall Township Fire Bureau.
